Maybe a Good Sign

Harlan Ellison will join guest moderator Josh Olson, Oscar-nominated screenwriter of A History of Violence, in a surpassingly rare personal appearance at Cinefamily in LA on November 15. He’ll discuss the insights into the TV medium that once filled his column The Glass Teat, then they’ll screen of several of his best episodes.

Ellison’s health has curtailed his appearances for some time. In 2010 he told attendees at MadCon they were seeing him at his last convention. This year fans looked for him at two events where he received major awards, but he missed the 2011 Eaton Conference, and little expected to attend his induction to the SF Hall of Fame (Harlan arranged for Neil Gaiman to take his place.) So these days any Ellison appearance is news.

The Cinefamily meets at 611 N. Fairfax Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90036. Admission is $10 (free for members.)
