The finalists for the Prix Jacques-Brossard, an award for French sff worth C$3,000, were announced on April 22. 

• Venefica by Raphaëlle B. Adam (Tête première)
• Le Silène assassiné, volume 1 of the Huitième register, by Alain Bergeron (Éditions Alire)
• La Respiration du ciel, volume 1 of La Semeuse de vents, by Mélodie Joseph (VLB imaginaire).

The winner will be revealed on May 16 at a ceremony in Quebec.
