  1. I think his best endearing role for me was as Siegfried Farnon in All Creatures Great and Small a long running series about a British rural vet practice set between the Wars.

  2. I concur, he’ll always be Siegfried Farnon for me. With his brother Tristan played by Peter Davidson.

  3. All Creatures Great and Small was a fixture of my childhood. Mostly because it was filmed in the Dales, where our family’s farm is, so we would watch to see who and what we would recognise.
