2017 Audie Award Winners

Audiobooks by John Scalzi, Alan Moore, and Kameron Hurley were among the 2017 Audie Award winners announced at a ceremony tonight in New York.

Audiobook of the Year was Hamilton: The Revolution by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Jeremy McCarter, read by Mariska Hargitay, with the authors.

    One of my all-time favorite narrators. Very happy to see him win his category. 🙂

Locus Online reports the winners this morning — I know what they’re trying to do (list all the genre nominees, with the winners in red) but even knowing that, they still leave a strong impression of having reported the wrong Audiobook of the Year. If they had mentioned Hamilton in the introductory paragraph, that impression could have been avoided.
