Steep for Sports game? My friend and I played that game for a couple of hours together mostly laughing at how badly it was designed and trading the controller back and forth when the game would glitch one of us through the environment. The always online portions seemed more irritating than interesting.
Must’ve been a rough year for sports games.
I’m not at all surprised that Overwatch ran away with awards, given the huge amount of talk about it. can’t complain, even though I’m utterly horrible at Shooters. The games efforts toward diversity evidently helped a lot in increasing its appeal.
Overwatch is great even if you’re not good at shooters, there’s a lot of support chacters who have important roles. I am not a big fan of the game but diversity both of character and variety of styles certainly increased the exposure and popularity of it.
