Gotham, a Batman “origin show” with Ben McKenzie as future-Commissioner Gordon and David Mazouz as orphan Bruce Wayne, tells the stories of characters before they became the great supervillains and vigilantes known to DC Comics readers. The series will air on Fox this fall.

A trailer released this weekend leaves open the question of how the boy Bruce Wayne will interact with Gotham City detective Gordon week-to-week. The promotional copy says —
