“The Last of Us” Dominates Night One of the 75th Creative Arts Emmy Awards

HBO’s post-apocalyptic drama series The Last of Us won eight Emmys on the opening night of the two-night Creative Arts Awards in Los Angeles on January 6. Netflix’s Wednesday won four.

Categories won by The Last of Us include guest actor and actress in a drama series for Nick Offerman and Storm Reid, respectively. The series also won for visual effects, picture editing, sound editing and other key craft categories.

The 2023 Emmy Award season was delayed by three months due to labor strife in Hollywood last year.

The second night of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards airs tonight, January 7, and the main ceremony — the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards — will take place on January 15, 2024.
