Did My Nose Grow?

SJWs always lieVox Day’s SJWs Always Lie, released today, is at this writing the #1 Amazon Best Seller in two categories.

Though why should you believe me? You know what SJWs always do.

The book is named after the First Law of SJW: SJWs always lie. SJWS ALWAYS LIE is a useful guide to understanding, anticipating, and surviving SJW attacks from the perspective of a man who has not only survived, but thrived, after experiencing multiple attempts by Social Justice Warriors to disqualify, discredit, and disemploy him in the same manner they have successfully attacked Nobel Laureates, technology CEOs, broadcasters, sports commentators, school principals, and policemen. It analyzes well-known SJW attacks as well as the two most successful examples of resistance to the SJW Narrative, #GamerGate and Sad Puppies.

I have a copy and will read it and report back.

  1. For some reason I love the cover to John Scalzi Is Not A Very Popular Author And I Myself Am Quite Popular: How SJWs Always Lie About Our Comparative Popularity Levels. It’s just so grouchy.

ETA: Will John Scalzi Is Not A Very Popular Author And I Myself Am Quite Popular: How SJWs Always Lie About Our Comparative Popularity Levels make John Scalzi’s The Big Idea?

  2. @Matt Y – I would buy an audiobook version of John Scalzi Is Not A Very Popular Author And I Myself Am Quite Popular: How SJWs Always Lie About Our Comparative Popularity Levels as read by John Scalzi.
Sweet Cracker Sandwich, this has to happen.

From your mouth to Scalzi’s ears.

There needs to be a dramatic reading of some sort at the very least.

But what voice? Starscream or Skeletor?

  5. Coming soon: Alexandra Erin Made Two Mistakes With Chapter Numbers And I Only Made One: How SJWs Always Lie About Our Comparative Innumeracy Levels

    The fives! They’re gorgeous!

  7. I just bought a copy of John Scalzi Is Not A Very Popular Author And I Myself Am Quite Popular: How SJWs Always Lie About Our Comparative Popularity Levels

    It is very funny.
And its got three chapter 5’s, so its far better value than some shitty book that only has two.

  8. I rather like the John C Wright cover version of Teddy Beale’s magnificent octopus:

“I am in all modesty one of the most popular literary authors working today and Sodom Justice Warriors always lie and will end up burning in hell because I have love in my blessed heart especially for that wretched hive of scum and villainy File 770”.

  9. Well, now we know one of the works that’s going to be in Related Works next year

Yes, Poxy Voxy’s going all out to reclaim his record total of No Awards from JCW

  10. So, VD spent months and months trying to convince everyone that he was simultaneously a) a great, Hugo-worthy editor and b) a scary Machiavelli type who maneuvered friends and foes alike to achieve his smoking hole victory. Then, a scant three days after his “victory”, he flushes both away with a poorly proofed, inferiority-complex-ridden vanity screed?

Everyone who called him a Nazi is eating crow now; I’m pretty Sgt. Schultz was actually anti-Nazi.

I would buy an audiobook version of John Scalzi Is Not A Very Popular Author And I Myself Am Quite Popular: How SJWs Always Lie About Our Comparative Popularity Levels as read by John Scalzi.

Someone PLEASE tweet this to Erin and Scalzi!

  12. “I’m pretty Sgt. Schultz was actually anti-Nazi.”

I’m pretty sure he was, and was doing like a lot of Germans during the war, keeping his head down and trying not to attract attention from the really bad guys. Don’t forget, canonically, he owned a huge toy store in his pre-war life (so he wasn’t as incompetent as he was shown.)

His actor, John Banner, was Jewish and a refugee from post-Anschluss Austria. As has been well documented, Hogan’s Heroes was certainly not an pro-Nazi show!

Beale could take lessons from Banner and Schultz, I’m sure.

I want to buy Erin’s book to show support, but I am so puppied out that even reading parodies of their nonsense is beyond my abilities now.

  13. @Gabriel F.: Presumably if I value your taste in science fiction I will nominate your list of Alexandra Erin’s book exactly as it is, right?

    😉

  14. Meh. Nice proofing. The irony is noticed, you know. Oh, yes, it’s been noticed!

  15. Nooooo…don’t go into the light!

If you keep risking exposure to Vox Day’s SAN-sapping radiation, how long before you’ll only be able to blog in gibbers?

  16. Okay, Scalzi and Erin are working with Con or Bust to put together a very short-term donation challenge – like through tomorrow night. Details are not final, but on Twitter they were throwing around a figure of $2500 raised to trigger the audiobook.

  17. Three days after losing “Best Editor” to “NO AWARD” ….Beale self-publishes a book with TWO Chapter Fives?

Is there anyone in the entire universe who continues to question the collective wisdom of the Hugo voters?

  18. Once details are final all SJWs are go. This is not a drill people! This is what we trained for!

Wait! I totally lied during training !!

  19. Are we sure that Beale isn’t a crypto-SJW? The Day persona is so over-the-top that it borders on ridiculous. The blurb lists his successes with GamerGate and the Puppies. Those are both movements that possessed a modicum of respectability until he became involved and drove them both into self-parody. GG’s legacy is the elevation of female gamers and encouraging the belated development of decent blocking tools on social media. The Puppies might have had a legit gripe, but thanks to Day, they’re known as “those jerks who tried to ruin the Hugo awards.” His legacy of ruining causes is impressive and suspiciously consistent: When he gets involved, the SJW’s win. Maybe, just maybe, that’s the intent?

  20. Three days after losing “Best Editor” to “NO AWARD” ….Beale self-publishes a book with TWO Chapter Fives?

One for the Long Form, one for the Short..

  21. Shameless plug for my girl Alexandra here: in addition to today’s brilliant work of satire, she has several fantasy and SF works available for your delectation, including omnibuses of her long-running fantasy serial, Tales of Mu, which you can also check out for free before buying at talesofmu.com. Alexandra is fantastic in every respect and I hope this little bit of biting silliness leads some of you to see her more serious work. 🙂

  22. Three days after losing “Best Editor” to “NO AWARD” ….Beale self-publishes a book with TWO Chapter Fives?

The universe really does love us.

    Lovecraft! I refute you thus!

  23. Wait wait wait, Scalzi agreed way too easily, we need to raise our demands. I suggest we accept nothing less than narration by Tom Hanks.

    And a plane on standby.

  24. @WTF “His legacy of ruining causes is impressive and suspiciously consistent: When he gets involved, the SJW’s win. Maybe, just maybe, that’s the intent?”

Hard to tell. Is it on purpose, or is he just that poisonous?

Though this might match his argument pattern- He claims that rhetoric is for fools, then aims most of his rhetorical arguments at persuading his followers. It sure sounds as if he is insulting them intentionally.

I believe it is customary for the young folk these days in these circumstances to post a humorous picture showing a ‘Philip J Fry’ from a popular television show saying ‘shut up and take my money already’. Consider such picture posted.

No, no, Tom Hanks reading it in the style of John Scalzi reading it in the style of VD.

It has occurred to me. However, it would require extra-ordinary sense of commitment and a somewhat unique ethical framework.

  28. @Camestros Felapton

Tom Hanks reading it in the style of John Scalzi reading it in the style of VD

John C Wright is, in all modesty, one of the finest spittle-flecked ranters working today.

It’s a hell of a long con if that’s the case: http://www.donotlink.com/ghc2 (earliest Vox Day articles on WND, including a really creepy introduction to Ann Coulter)

Not sure GamerGate ever possessed a “modicum of respectability,” though. It certainly did score a bunch of Own Goals, but they generally mock Teddy B as much as the rest of us.

(All of these go to /r/KotakuInAction threads)

    Example 1: http://www.donotlink.com/ghc8

    Example 2: http://www.donotlink.com/ghc9

    Example 3: http://www.donotlink.com/ghcd

And the Sads own-goaled themselves by bringing Day into the fold in the first place. To make our heads explode. I expect a lot more distance to be placed between SP4 and Day next year.

  30. @WTF Pancakes

Got a response to you in moderation due to links and words probably 🙂

  31. Scalzi should Day what he really wants. A life size full nude poster of himself. Vox can hang it over his bed like he really wants.

  32. As soon as Scalzi and Con or Bust have checked blog post language (Legalities and so forth, since COB is under the Carl Brandon Society’s nonprofit tax umbrella, I suspect) his post goes live. watch and wait.
