Logan Official Trailer

Logan, tenth installment in the X-Men film series, is based on the comic book series Old Man Logan by Mark Millar. Directed by James Mangold, the film stars Hugh Jackman, Sienna Novikov, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, and Patrick Stewart. The film marks the final portrayal of Wolverine by Jackman. It is scheduled to be released on March 3, 2017.

  1. All I can say is that if you’re using *that* song, you better make damn sure that your work is worthy of it.I do hope that they do, as the storyline(s) that they’re basing this off are quite good in the comic book context

  2. I have to confess that I had to giggle when “that song” started to play, because it’s such a perfect encapsulation of the “pain is me” attitude behind many Wolverine comics, which attracted me a whole lot when I was twenty, but now seems rather overwrought.

    Besides, there is music that evokes the correct mood and makes any trailer look good and this song is one of them. However, if you need to rely on great music to make your trailer work, it’s a sign your movie is probably in trouble. See Suicide Squad for an example. They had to resort to “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Ballroom Blitz”, i.e. songs that would make random traffic cam footage look like a masterpiece. And in the end, the movie wasn’t much better than random traffic cam footage.

  3. This may possibly be the first “superhero” movie to win Oscars for its actors.
