The Writers & Illustrators of the Future Contest combined the awards ceremony for their 36th and 37th competitions into one event held October 22 after a year’s postponement due to the pandemic.

• Barbara Lund for her story “Sixers”

Each winner received a trophy and a $5,000 check.
