Marvel Comics’ New Era of Fantastic Four

The next adventures of Marvel’s first family arrive November 9. Writer Ryan North and artist Iban Coello launch an all-new run of Fantastic Four where they’ll take this beloved team of super hero icons to exciting new places throughout the Marvel Universe and beyond. This bold new era will kick off with the team spread across the country after a devastating event takes place back in New York. North and Coello will craft separate adventures spotlighting each member of the team before bringing in the band back together in epic fashion at the end of the book’s first arc. The debut issue will star Ben Grimm and Alicia Masters as they embark on a road trip that takes a very weird turn…

Something terrible has happened to the Fantastic Four and the Thing and Alicia are traveling across America to leave it behind. But when they stop in a small town for the night and wake up the morning before they arrived, they find themselves caught in a time loop that’s been going on since before they were born… That’s been going on since before they were born… That’s been going on since before they were born…

“I want to do these smaller, self-contained stories in the vein of ’60s Star Trek where they go down to a planet, find a weird thing, fix the weird thing, and move on,” North said of his approach in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “Having these four weirdos roll into town where there’s a mystery or a problem or some sci-fi thing, solve the problem, and then move on struck me as a very interesting way to position the Fantastic Four and tell stories that would feel fresh and not like a retread of what we’ve seen before.”

Whatever happened to the Fantastic Four? Get your first hints in the all-new interior artwork that follows the jump. For more information, visit Marvel.com.

Avengers Assemble Brings Jason Aaron’s Avengers Era To An End

Starting in November, Marvel Comics visionary Jason Aaron will conclude his incredible work on the Avengers mythos in Avengers Assemble.

For nearly five years, the superstar writer has penned an epic Avengers story across over 60 issues of Avengers as well as titles like Avengers Assemble and Avengers of 1,000,000 BC and now he’ll wrap things up in style in one epic crossover! Avengers Assemble will kick off in November’s Avengers Assemble: Alpha one-shot before crossing over between issues of Avengers and Avengers Forever beginning in December. Aaron will be joined by a trio of astounding comic talents including artist Bryan Hitch as well as regular Avengers and Avengers Forever artists Javier Garrón and Aaron Kuder.

From throughout time and the far corners of the Multiverse, the Mightiest Heroes of All the Earths are assembling as never before for a battle beyond all imagining. A war that will take us from the prehistoric beginnings of an Earth under assault by the greatest villains who’ve ever lived to the watchtower that stands at the dark heart of the all and the always, where an army of unprecedented evil now rises. The biggest Avengers saga in Marvel history is on the horizon and right now, fans can see how the story will unfold come December!

In AVENGERS #63, it’s the showdown fans have been waiting for—THE BATTLE OF 1,000,000 BC! The Avengers stand face-to-face with their prehistoric counterparts, the Avengers of 1,000,000 BC! But if the two groups cannot work together, they have no hope of defeating Doom Supreme and his marauding band of Multiversal Masters of Evil, who have come to erase all of Marvel history as we know it..

In AVENGERS FOREVER #12, witness THE SIEGE OF INFINITY TOWER! The all Steve Rogers Howling Commandos. The interstellar air force that is the Carol Corps. The Star Panther. The God of Fists. The Invincible Ant-Man, Tony Stark. Together, they are the greatest army of Avengers ever assembled. But will they be enough to protect the Avengers Tower at Infinity’s End? Because Mephisto has come to claim that tower’s secrets, and he’s brought an army of his own.

“Four years of Avengers stories. Threads from really every major series I’ve worked on throughout my last decade and a half at Marvel, from Ghost Rider to Thor. It all leads to this. The biggest Avengers story I could possibly imagine,” Aaron said. “Featuring a cavalcade of characters from across creation. And I’m so deeply thrilled and honored that it all kicks off with an oversized Alpha issue that’s being drawn by the legendary Bryan Hitch, who I’m getting to work with here for the very first time. Avengers Assemble. Say the words like a prayer. It’s the only thing that can save you.”

Victory Comic by Ukranian Artists

It just happened! Ukrainian publishing house The WILL Production together with the company  Art Nation presents the comic Victory, created by Ukrainian artists who worked on it from the first days of the large-scale invasion of the Rashists, channeling their anger, despair, courage, love and dreams into a single manifestation of the nation’s struggle for freedom.

Publisher Tokyopop gave the comic its digital release on August 24, and will release the print edition on September 13. Part of the proceeds from sales will be sent to the Razom for Ukraine fund.

What if your family, your hometown, your entire way of living were threatened by force? That’s what the people of Ukraine faced when Putin’s Russian army invaded their sovereign land, displacing millions of refugees and causing an international crisis threatening democracy across the globe. But the Ukrainian people refused to cave – and these 9 stories weave the greater tale of their resistance – and fight for Victory!

The comic book collection consists of nine graphic novels each in their own unique style and zarní.

Among the authors of the legend of the Ukrainian comic industry: Alexander Koreshkov, Catherine Kosheleva, Eugene Tončilov, Vladimir Povoroznik, Oleg Okunêv, Igor Kurilin, Maxim Bogdanovsʹkij, Bogdana Vitkovsʹka, Nazar Ponik, Kiril Malov.

Stu Levy, Founder/CEO of Tokyopop, encourages people to use this comic to learn about the war’s impact on millions of Ukranians.

It is with a heavy heart that we bring you this publication. War is never a welcome event, but some conflicts are unavoidable and important. Unfortunately, the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine is quite the opposite — it is simply a unilateral act of state violence and greed. The actions of Vladimir Putin and the Russian army have unleashed widespread destruction, atrocity and death and have forced millions of innocent Ukrainians, mainly women and children, to flee their homeland.

Two of those refugees — a young mother, Natalia, and her 3-year-old daughter, Kyra — are living with my family at our home in Berlin, Germany. Following the invasion in February 2022 and soon after the birth of our daughter in March 2022, we attended an event here in Berlin where many Ukrainians — unsure of where to go or what to do next — gathered for fellowship and information. Ukraine’s neighbor, Poland, has given refuge to millions of people, with nearly 1 million also now residing in Germany. We have had a wonderful experience with Natalia and little Kyra as two families living as one (my little son Aiden has become Kyra’s inseparable bosom buddy), but it breaks my heart to watch her FaceTime every night with her father and grandparents still back in Ukraine. Their neighborhood has been shattered by Russian bombs and last week Natalia’s best friend’s house was destroyed — the explosion and shrapnel just missing her friend’s mother by a dozen yards.

Displacement, anxiety, and fear are now part of daily life for millions of Ukrainians — both at home and abroad. The 9 stories in VICTORY FOR UKRAINE were created entirely by Ukrainians to express their fears, tears, and anger towards “the Enemy.” While Ukraine and its people are on the defense, they will never surrender and their resolve and will to fight and rally the world is an inspiration and a shining beacon of freedom.

VICTORY FOR UKRAINE is one way we can not only learn about their struggles but also join them in solidarity. Comics are a truly personal medium and one with unlimited beauty and depth. TOKYOPOP and I are very honored to be able to play a small role in delivering their message to you. Thank you for joining us in welcoming these brave individuals, these creators, these fighters into our homes, and may they one day achieve Peremoha: Victory for Ukraine.
